Okay, so, doing some thinking on what areas New Snap can cover
Here's what the original had:
- Beach: As the name implies, a tropical beach with the ocean as well as tropical cliffs. We know a version of this comes back
- Tunnel: A artificial tunnel filled with industrial and electrical equipment, some pools of water, etc
- Volcano: A volcanic valley with laval pools, rocky outcrops, mountains in the distancxe, etc
- River: A jungle waterway with dense trees, logs, vines, etc
- Cave: A large cavern with various rocky cliffs and outcrops, pools of water, stalcitates, etc.
- Valley: A arid series of hills and mountains around a rapid
- Rainbow Cloud: Surreal final stage
Here's all the additional stage ideas I could come up with that aren't basically identical or alternate takes to the original
- Savannah: A flat, dry but not arid plains area with some large rocks, shows up in the trailer
- City: Some sort of urban city or metropolis, either through the streets, roofs, or subway
- Suburbs: A ride through a suburban area or small town with both natural and landscaped grassy bits
- Underwater: A trip through the ocean, maybe the deep depths where it's dark and spooky and you need a light to see.
- Spooky area: A large mansion or castle or maybe a graveyard with spooky stuff, objects moving on it's own, etc.
- Desert: A big dry desert with either big sand dunes or tons of cactus
- Ancient Ruins: Probably covers the same sort of areas as SPooky or maybe desert, but ruins of a long lost civilization
- Sky: A course running through midair, maybe with the peaks of mountains around you
- Mountains: A a ride through the high hills and mountains, maybe akin to a sort of minecart level through mountaintops
- Swamp/Jungle: A dense, lush area with tons of flora, trees, water, etc.
If you cut out or sort of combine similar areas, I think that comes out to around 14 stages, give or take.
