>>43900295Yes, cohesively crap. Whether it's cohesive or not doesn't somehow improve it's quality. Being cohesive doesn't force you into not animating things for example unless you're making a decision to just be cohesive in a lack of animation.
The wild area drastically limits view distance on pokemon and items, and is still basically a very large, static space (aside from aforementioned weather effects). In fact if you sit in place and just look at the world in front of you, the shadows cast by clouds are pretty much the only thing going on.
Point being that yes the requirements are different, but SwSh goes to some pretty hefty measures with regard to view distance and whatnot and still looks far worse. Everyone makes jokes about N64 comparisons but there were actually 3ds games (FF Explorers comes to mind) that were not far off.
