The problem is they just walk, they don't run so they'll be left behind if the player runs, this means the pokémon is constantly teleporting behind the player because they can't move fast

Before, I though Game Freak rushed SWSH because of time contraints from the release of the anime and merchandise (not that the poor quality of the game is justified). Now i’m convinced that Game Freak is just lazy now. They literally have running animations for most if not all the pokemon in the game. Unbelievable.

I picked back up Let's Go Pikachu recently. They can definitely fall behind and end up teleporting to behind you. It keeps happening with my Alolan Exeggutor, so it's about the environment/obstacles and natural speed. Keep in mind in LGPE you can't run while in SwSh you can.
