coverage on charizard and ninetales, maybe a few others
defensive on snek, palossand, and turtonator in lower tiers?
a nasty motherfucker on hippowdon, but not as impactful as you might think

Scorching Sands isn't any worse than Scald on Toxapex, but a burned Hippo can't be poisoned.

Technician Triple Axel does the same damage as STAB-boosted Triple Axel.

Cincinno would rather use Skill Link + King's Rock and get 43 % chance to flinch with other moves (almost 30 % with Triple Axel) anyway.

It's a bivalve, it doesn't have scales.
Scale shot does seem like a cool move for some pokemon, might actually be neat for shell smash turtonator since it's so slow even at +2 speed. Is it special or physical?
Scale shot is also a good indicator that a pokemon is a reptile and not an amphibian, for those who care about that; for example toxtricity doesn't get it but salazzle does.
