Honestly it would be hard to come up with devs who would actually do a worse job at making Pokemon games than Gamefreak does. Maybe EA or Acclaim right before they went bankrupt would be worse but even with EA that's mostly because they'll jew the fuck out of the game and not because it will look bad.

They also worked on Ultimate which went out of its way to add Green/Leaf as an alt for Pokemon Trainer and give the Pokemon fighters actually some good alt colors.
