I enjoyed the DLC, but it was really fucking short. I would have liked it to have been at least twice as long...but what was there was pretty neat. Unironically better than the main game in almost every way.
Plus, the actual island is what the wild area should have been. I hope Gamefreak uses this as a learning experience. Had the entire game been like the this DLC (and the upcoming one), it would have gone down as one of the best Pokemon games made.
But, unfortunately, this game will always be associated with the dex fiasco, "high quality animations", the glitchy original wild area, the shitty online functionality, low textured trees, and a story that went literally nowhere.
