I'm convinced at this point that the real reason for shit like this is they refuse to have any crossover or coordination between teams just to keep information secure and narrow down who leakers are. That's why games immediately following one another might bring back nothing that the last game did, because they were made mostly at the same time. Anything that does cross over, is something that Masuda or Ohmori personally delivers.

The plan was always to cut features and sell them back to you bit by bit. Just imagine how much stuff would have been in this game (and with better graphics and framerate) had they been forced to spend an extra year polishing the game into a Switch game rather than the mediocre Wii-U port that it is now, and if they had been required to sell it one time with no DLC.

Not at all. LGPE had a top down camera and follow logic that surpasses IoA, but it was also way easier to make for LGPE when you compare the size, expressability, number of Pokémon needed to make compatible, and the fact that IoA has a lot more open space and unique environments that can be a challenge.

But what's so different about the follow logic? Outside of how quickly the Pokemon know to switch between moving slowly and quickly I can't really see a difference, and I played both games. Granted, it's been a while since I played LGPE, but are they really that different?

Let's Go's world was technically tile based but the character movement was completely analog. The pathing was extremely simple, too. Pokémon follows trainer a set distance behind them. If they get stuck and become distanced from the trainer they enter a pokeball and teleport to the trainer.
