We've always been dealing with this since day 1! Lilligant is Underdog QUEEN! You run Sleep Powder/Grass Whistle + Quiver Dance and hope for the best as you try and sweep the best W you can. Yeah it'd be great to have Earth Power, Weather Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Ancient Power, Sludge Bomb or something to help her go up against ANY of her weaknesses but we work with what we got!

Is it so much to ask for even one coverage option on a Lilligant that can at least counter its weaknesses. Its a mono-grass Pokemon with so many different weaknesses: Fire, Flying, Poison, Ice, and Bug while also only having Grass & Bug Coverage which is not that good alone, if you want to run it as an offensive QD user.

For the regular game sure, but for more competitive battles Idk, being locked into a move at the cost of Chlorophyll feels like a loss. It is strong none the less, it just feels really counter able when Grass is resisted by so much.

Spore, maybe.
That would at least offer a good chance to use Quiver Dance, and she'd be the fastest Spore user in the game.
Might not be OU by usage, but would still be able to carve a niche.

*Minor Isle of Armor plot spoilers, obviously.*

Some time after Kubfu evolves into Urshifu. Hop shows up at the Isle of Armor in time for Mustard to explain that Urshifu is capable of Gigantamaxing, but doesn't like the soup that allows Pokemon to gain that ability. Mustard vaguely mentions that there is something sticky in the Isle of Armor that can be put in the soup to make it more palatable for Urshifu. But feigns ignorance for what it actually is.

Hop explains that Urshifu come from a far away region and that they love nectar and honey. He suggests going to the forest to collect some nectar from a Lilligant and an Applin.

Once there, you find a lost Petilil. Hop stays with it while you search the forest for Lilligant. Once you find the Lilligant and lead her back to the Petilil. Lilligant thanks you for bringing them together by giving you some nectar.

It ultimately turns out not to be what they are looking for, but Hop still sees it as a good deed done.

There's still a lot of "ifs" in that situation.
The firemon needs to survive being sent in.
The firemon needs to either be faster, or survive 2 hits
The firemon needs to either OHKO, or be able to survive 3 hits, or be faster and be able to survive 2 hits
And if your firemon can survive a hit already, why not just use solarbeam without the sun set up?

The thinking here is more that creatures that live in water tend to be more vulnerable to pollution, not that water itself is destroyed by adding poison. Most of the Pokemon that are literally just water instead of merely living in it are Ice-types.
