Pokemon's really fun, I just like the lack of bullshit. Just make a team and go on a journey or complete the pokedex if you want or play with friends. Not every game has to be some masterpiece.

That's not a bad thing. I've seen pokemon without any story period (crystal clear) and it's not that great.
Story progression is fine. You meet some cool people and beat up evil dudes, it's part of the adventure.

I really don't understand this. I don't know anyone who actually likes X/Y, but the gen 1 games are very popular (genwunners obviously overhype them, but they're enjoyable games). The answer had better not be "muh glitches/bugs", because they make very little impact on a casual plathrough.

I could play through X/Y before Gen 1. It has better music, and more gameplay options. That's all it needs to be better than RBY. Not that I'd play through either again though given the actual good RPG's out there offer much more and are more fun to revisit.

No, because the series was never that good and was always just fun junk food were you collect new Pokemon throughout a poor story trade/battle with friends and move on. People thinking these games will ever be as good as the AAA Mario's of Zeldas should just drop the series.

That's not true at all. The only incomplete first versions are DP and XY on its own. The real issue is that most third versions don't give enough content to justify a second pyrchsee

At least you're admitting to not being an actual fan. It gets annoying around here when most anons pretend to like most of the games when it's abundantly clear they only like third versions and remakes not even for half the generations...only to get surprised when they don't enjoy the first version each time
