Against defense, the Dark one (isn’t walled by Toxapex or Tangrowth as hard and because Wicked Blow has a bit more fire power and Surge Strikes).
Against Offense, the Water one (Can be used as a Volcarona Check, prevents Excadrill and Terrakion from setting up Rocks, and has a better defensive typing so it can switch in more easily).

They each have their advantages, but dark/fight just synergizes better with its stats.

Water/fight can break subs, sashes, and disguise with its signature move, which I think more than makes up for getting walled by mons like Pex and Slowbro.
Also, water is just a great type overall. One of the best in the game.

Water seems overall plain better, specially in a meta where Togekiss is even more needed because of goddamn fucking Beat Up Terrakion I'm so sick of that gimmick fuck off.
But Dark has its own potential with Lash Out. Then again TTar probably outclasses it in terms of Lash Out shenanigans.

Urshifu gets Iron Head, which hits everything that resists Dark and Fighting.
The 4x weakness to Fairy still sucks, but Urshifu is fast.
