I get not everyone will agree that smartphones are getting shittier, but laptops absolutely are getting worse – dropping CD drives were one thing, but dropping SD card support, increasingly less USB ports (???)... it's all turning into consumer products with diminishing warranty support, rather than professional hardware. Not sure what my next laptop will be, but I'm likely to buy a dumbphone as my next mobile device. If nothing else, it gives me an excuse to be 'out of the loop' when employers introduce a workplace WhatsApp, so you're effectively 24/7 on call.
Not having a smartphone is incredibly based.
