Seems a lot of people are choosing the single strike dark/fight for visual apperance?
What if you don't care about the visual at all?

What if you don't care so much, that even when you look at both forms side by side they look 100% the same?
Then which one do you choose?

Honestly i wanted the water, but then i realised theres a lot of other good water pokemon.

Sure the dark is weak against fairy, but aside from togikiss, how much fairy do you need to worry about?
Almost none i would think.

To be fair aside from dragupult how much ghost do you need a part dark pokemon to fight?
I think dragupault is the only main threat for ghost.

So the water is good against togikiss and the dark is good against dragupalt
But aside from that they are equal?

I'm not sure if people think about battle mechanics still?

So Single-Strike(Dark) is better right?
Rapid(Water) can't break Toxakek and Mungus and has more weakness, among other things.

Pretty much.
Dark/Fighting STAB + Poison Jab is near perfect coverage
Galarian Weezing is the only switch in I could think of(needs to waste a moveslot on Iron Head just to deal with it)

Close combat also deal more damage than the signature move even with the crit, so htat is your strongest stab.

You know what I'm going to wait until the next month to decide in what version I get. I play 3 vs 3, no the smogon format, and being able to killed mimikyu and sash pokemon is a very important things in that format.

Other than multi hit punishes there really isn’t much of a downside for picking rapid style. Stored power shell smash polteageist or other weak armor Pokémon like doesn’t like multi hits at all.

I expected to box the bear straight away, but I actually ended up kinda liking him after his little story segment. Even ended up keeing Urshifu in my party for the last battle, since I built a new team just for the Isle of Armor and had an empty spot anyway. Only used him against Mustard's Urshifu, though.

But still, I thought it was really neat the game actually had a story where you spend time building a friendship with your Pokemon, made it feel more like an actual story and makes him feel more like an actual part of my team, since you know. He was actually involved in the story. I thought it was cool.
