Nobody is using this lmao. There's a few guys where it's worth considering, but why would you drop Liquidation and/or Aqua Jet from Barraskewda in favor of a Switch Out?

Scorching Sands is going to see a lot of usage, but it being 10 power weaker than Earth Power means it won't always be the go to.

gen 5 and 6 meta was ok
it went downhill with gen7, just look at the gen6 OU and gen7 UU

Scorching Sand saved some Fire types and is the last chance for the future Typhlosion release. At least Ninetales and Palossand got it for extra movepool, Arcanine too without relying on Close Combat only too. In general Ground type coverage on those lucky Fire types was a bless. One of the coolest moves from this DLC for sure, the others depend on some interesting compatibilities and sad incompatibilities.

What makes u-turn unbearable is its lack of immunities and obscene distribution. Volt switch isn't nearly as problematic and flip turn has the same limitations.

Scorching sands scared everyone because they thaught it could be a physical move. Its the perfect casual filter in competitive discussions, because the move is not worth using on anything that isnt palossand, claydol, and like 2 low tier fire types.

Its more so the idea of water u-turn made people think already extremely good Water-types would get it. Toxapex, Swampert, etc. etc. Flip Turn only ended up being meh because they didn't give it out to many Pokemon.

Scald would still be busted even if it was nerfed to 70 BP. The burn is way more important than the damage.

the power matters though, you wouldn't use scald as your main stab if it was 40 bp would you? right now, scald is better than surf (even after the burn nerf) because there aren't many breakpoints that surf hits and scald misses. lowering scald bp increases that list and makes surf a legitimate choice for more offensive waters.
