>>43945417I never understood the horrible condition a lot of used games end up in. I was taught how to handle sensitive computer bits at AGE TWO! How hard is it to put the disk/cartridge back in the case and put it on the shelf? Half the time you can do that while it's booting to the title screen so even impatience seems like a weird excuse to me. A little wear and light scratches from occasional butterfingers is expected but I've gotten disks so scratched to hell they were ready to snap, it's not even worth returning at that point because if the store is that shit they'd probably put it right back on the shelf for the next unlucky loser to buy so I end up eating the cost and tossing it to save someone else a little trouble. At least with cartridges cleaning and/or replacing pins/contact pads will usually save it.
>>43946374Swapping out the disk drive on my launch wii today, other than that failing on me a couple weeks ago never had an issue with any of Nintendo's consoles. My n64 works perfectly and my mom even dropped it down a flight of concrete stairs when she was helping me move into my apartment back in college, and my younger sister's gba had been left out in the rain overnight while powered on with no ill effects after opening it up to dry.
