I just got Sword.
Why do the NPCs bring stuff like Magikarps and Eevees to the max raids?

They really want you to team up with players online, so NPCs use shitty Pokemon making a lot of raids impossible to solo. It's annoying.

There's a pool of like 20 trainers who can join you in raids. You're doing the heavy lifting, you just want the computer to chip down the shields. Ironically Magikarp is one of the better trainers to get paired with since it can only attack.

Also, magikarp is one of the more helpful ones as it helps to break shields.
Solrock, Wobbafett and clefairy are the actual bad ones

If it helps OP, I have bred Clefable and Gallade just for this reason when I dont feel like playing online.

Clefable's Cat Herder, bulky with:
Follow me
Moonlight
Life Dew
Moonblast

I use it to keep Ai and shitters who bring shit that will get nuked by single target bosses alive

My Gallade is for Aoe spam fuckers I made when Gmax snorlax came out for the same reason

Psycho Cut
Life Dew
Close Combat
Wide Guard

These two let me prevent fuckin 4kos 90% of the time. the last 10% is Ai all showing up with the worst possible ones (IE: Two water types against Zeraora and a fuckin Solrock)

are you retarded? it doesn't do anything when there are shields up, and if there's no shield any move is gonna either knock out the pokémon or get you to the next shield. eevee is fucking worthless.
