Because I agree, staggering out the Pokemon, ala Go, is a predatory, shitty business practice designed to artificially extend the game's lifespan.
But it's getting all the Pokemon, that's an inevitability. It was never about balance, we can see that now that the Genies, Tapus and UBs are in the Crown Tundra, and it was never about the models being incompatible, as Let's Go runs on the same engine, on the same hardware, and it has all 151 Kanto mons, including those that aren't yet announced in SwSh's DLC.
So it's solely about monetisation.
But those Pokemon are coming back. It's a foregone conclusion.
And if it's the handholdy story and simple game mechanics, well, you're about 2 generations too late.
