>>43964574>Scald BurnCan be mitigated (prime example: U-turn the fuck out of there)
>IntimidateIt depends on the intimidator itself, especially when Landorus-T is MIA because OU has zero intimidate mons (incineroar is viable but let's be real, CC being so widespread won't do it any favors when it gets hit on the switch)
>numerous movesIf you're talking about spiky shield and baneful bunker, only the latter is in a good pokemon's movepool and the only time Counter was effective was gen 5 alakazam's focus sash set
>itemsMore like item, and the mons that'd run Helmet have the same counterplay as scald burns
>and abilities that shits on contact movesOnly iron barbs and static matters the most, poison point and effect spore are inconsistent trash. And even then, Ferrothorn doesn't take fighting attacks too kindly and Stone Edge happens to be in a lot of physical attacker's coverage options against flying types
>There are special attack moves that target defense1)Psyshock is mostly exclusive to a single type
2)Secret Sword is Keldeo only and Keldeo is ironically a special attacker that has issues that put him in UU
Special attackers actually have MORE things that shit on them than physical attackers, a physical mon's worst concern is not having the right coverage, special attackers are victims of 4MSS, passive chip damage, widespread special walls and assault fucking vest (ironically a better item to punish special attackers than rocky helmet is to punish physical attackers, if Kartana and Dracovish proved something is that having movepool issues don't matter when you hit hard as fuck, special attackers have it worse because if they lack a good movepool, they get countered back to back and start falling down on low tiers.
