How did they get away with it? This is perhaps the most infuriating thing as whole of USUM. It was a scam, and i'm fucking embarrassed that i fell for it.

Fortunately I played it second hand. I knew the game was terrible when the only advertise of it was a postgame. They literally avoided to show anything new about the story, except this corridor

Yes, and? They never said it was going to be anything more than what it was. You let your imagination get the better of you and your expectations went out of control. Are you seven? No? the last games I played were BW2, everything else I watched on YouTube, because 3D anime toy graphics don't improve on the core gameplay. They, the laggy cutscenes and amateurish story just artificially slow the pace of play.

Imagine watching a trailer for a $60 AAA game and all the content you get is just what’s shown in the trailer. I never argued that it was smart of me to buy the game. I fell for the "it's gonna be an alternative universe" meme and got myself hyped, i admit that. But you can't say that they were being genuine when they advertised the Ultramegalopolis.

Wasn't the apologists argument "you need to play the game to know if it's good" all the time? Why when people play it the argument changes to "it was your fault for playing it"?

So if Ultramegalopolis was showcased in this trailer, you’d think the guys in Monolith Soft would show that the corridor is all you get? Because at least I know personally there’s way more in Gaur Plains than they showed in the trailer. Literally if any other company made USUM instead of GF, there’d be objectively more effort put into Ultramegalopolis.

I thought you said that Ultramegalopolis being made by Monolith instead of GF (and being the same corridor and all) would be praised. But yes, I agree that if Monolith would made Ultramegalopolis I really doubt it would be just a corridor
