Is there any advantage to buying this instead of emulating?

Tbh I'm kinda scared that emulating will glitch out and fuck up my save files.

You know the transfers from gen 1/2 VC releases are 1 way only, right? You can't take them back out into VC stuff, only into gen 7 games.

Yes you can use the time capsule in VC GSC to trade between it and VC RBY.

You do need two systems but you can technically trade between two games on a single system by using a “dummy” game on the second system as the intermediary.
