What elo rating do I have to achieve in order to dish out competitive advice on /vp/? The highest i've ever been is around 1650 and I've made Masterball rank before.

1650 is enough to talk, more than a lot of these posers who try doing so with their 1000s-1300s experience.
You'll find a lot of people keep arguing as if they know what they're talking about then suddenly expose themselves as someone who's dogshit by saying something like Shuckle barely sees usage as a Webber or Clef isn't mainly built SpDef or Sylveon/Mandibuzz/Hippowdon are bad mons.

100% depends on the format and elo inflation.
1600 in ou is good, 1600 in pu is top 5
