Why would you have to breed and build a specific Pokémon just to defeat a raid boss, you'd ask?
Because it's what we wanted. We've been asking for years to have at least a bit of challenge in Pokémon games. We've been complaining about mythicals being given us for free by some random guy in Pokémon Centres.
We've won: now we have to spend at least one hour of our lives creating a Pokémon able to handle a specific boss. This is fucking great. I hope to see more of this soon, and I'm so hyped to figure out a strategy for every single legendary raid boss in the Crown Tundra.
Of course, it would be better if the presence of a certain boss was justified by lore, but this kind of difficulty is a huge step forward from everything we've gotten in the last few years.
