I think it’s this. I’ve gotten plenty of cool shinies from joining random raids - Gallade, Darmanitan, Tyranitar, Umbreon, the sound dragon middle evolution, G-max Corviknight, etc. Just have to join a bunch.

You can have a shiny den in a few hour. Just need to check the seed and change date. Anybody can do this there is no hacking invovled.
