For games, if you want more traditional monster collecting JRPG's play the Story series, preferrably the Cyber Sleuth ones to start then go back to the DS ones if you're interested in more. If you want a more traditional Digimon V-Pet experience, try the World games. (World, Re:Digitize and Next Order.). If you want more Digimon games, look at the games and see whats interest you, there are a myriad of different genres in the series.
If you want manga, read the V-Tamer and Xros Wars mangas. V-Tamer is really good and Xros Wars is arguably better than the anime, depending on who you ask. The others are just ok, but still decent time killers.
