Torchick will help out with your Grass weakness so you're fine. It doesn't matter as much as main games since all Pokémon max out at the same stats if you have the vitamins for it.

They wasted a good opportunity to remake Explorers with DX, and at least expand the game to have all pokemons available, more dungeons, proper friend areas and a less shitty artstyle that doesn't fuck with your eyes/make the pokemons appears to be made of polished stone

If you noticed, the series went to the shitter when GO shown the thing everybody feared, that they can put no effort and still receive so much money that every single investor can retire right now and still have like 10 servants and everything a normal man would ever wish for, no matter what. The thing is that before they tried to deliver better games since the medium wasn't "just pump whatever and recive gorillions easily" due to the mobile market. GO simply hit all the good spots on the comon denominator. And after they have tasted those massive riches which we still don't even know what they were used in there is no hope anymore for anything in this franchise.

Cubone is a top tier mon, Torchic makes a decent partner, just watch out for water types and you’ll be fine. Unfortunately, most of the postgame is locked behind the completion of a 40-floor underwater dungeon, so maybe rely on recruits (or just get Zapdos before you go there)

Let me put this in perspective. This franchise is valued over 300 billions. If you are pretending they can't put decent work in the games while they still earn more than enough due to the brand in sales, fuck you. They have no fucking excuse other than "it is for kids and kids are easy to scam".
Anyway, they removed some nice stuff from dx, like friend areas and the models are not as good as sprites, despite every kid saying "3d is better gramps".

Not that anon, but I think the New Snap trailer does a good job of showing it's not the models that are the issue, it's the animation (or lack thereof). The way they're all stiff and just move like they're floating and gliding around is bad.

The remake is fine, though it requires a completely different playstyle than the original. the original eventually devolved to using neutral attack on every single enemy because it would 1shot all nonbosses past a point. Level 1 dungeons were different but still
