No anon. Fans complain about shit quality. A franchise that turns over as much money as pokemon can easily hire a rotating group of core staff and developers to handle frequent releases. There would be no shortage of job applications, money or interest. GF and TPCi is just greedy about maximising profit while minimising effort.

I think it is realistic for a Let's Go Johto game to take about 2 years to make, given the majority of the assets are already available. Game Freak has been floating that idea of Let's Go Johto in LGPE.

No. It can be two years, now that dlc are a thing. Which is great. But not 4-5 years. I don‘t want a fucking fullblown AAAA rpg. I want something isometric, lgpe artstyle a interesting story and tons of details and shit to discover plus a nice postgame. I don‘t want 3d, I don‘t fucking care about graphics, I don‘t want shitty open world. swsh made a nice thing with raids, the tm thing and having new pokemon more prominent and not showing all of them.
That was incredibly great. Also characters were good, even the wild area was fun. Just everything like after the 4-5th badge was meh

Agreed. The new USUM story content would have been much better as DLC. Have the Ultra Recon Squad be one post game segment, and the Rainbow Rocket as another.
Completely botching Lusamine's story, ruining Nebby's final evolution reveal and making you play the entire game again just to experience that was a huge misstep.

This. You can't just throw a large number of people on a project and expect high quality products. More people makes for more competition of ideas and visions, which might make a project take longer. More employees are good for things like technical work only, like pokemon and attack animations. But things like region and story design take time, regardless of the amount of staff. Of course quality will suffer when you have Masuda taking an annual tour to some foreign country, quickly taking note of local customs and stereotypes, and making a game off of this shallow experience.

Who in thier right mind think dlc is better than a 3rd version? You hav eto buy an inferior game at $60 and then spend an additional $30 just to complete it. The majority of people don't buy the third versions. They always sell way less than the base versions. Most people just bought Diamond & Pearl and skipped Platinum because they didn't see the point in buying the same game twice.

The difference is that Majora's Mask wasn't really "rushed". It had a time limit of one year to begin with. Everything about the game was designed from the ground up around that one year time limit.

The game taking place in a parallel dimension? Excuse to reuse character models (aside from the ones who literally are the same characters from Hyrule). The time travel mechanic? Prevents the NPCs repeating their cycles from breaking your immersion.

It's because the last mainline game was awful and we want something better. We're in the worst part of breaking a yearly release cycle. Hopefully next year we will go "oh ok" and things will go back to normal, but a lot of people have lost faith so.
