>has good statsTyranitar's bulk is undercut by its absolute dogshit defensive type combo, its Attack is undercut by Stone Edge and Crunch being underwhelming in modern OU, and its Speed is straight ass.
>and movepoolIt lacks priority to threaten everything faster than it, and it doesn't have any recovery to enable it to tank effectively either. Dragon Dance stopped being good on it when base 100 stopped being considered fast, so now it wishes for a better way to boost, too.
>and decent stabI mentioned this earlier, but Crunch is kinda weak in a metagame where Fighting-types are resurgent and Fairies are a constant menace, while Stone Edge is frustratingly unreliable and isn't even strong enough to count as some kind of high risk/high reward play like, say, High Jump Kick. And without Pursuit, it can't do it's old job of removing Psychics and Ghosts that try to escape it by switching out.
Tyranitar was bad in OU at the start of Gen VIII, now that things like Azumarill, Magearna, and Urshifu are in the mix it's even worse.
