Why did we get barely any interaction with her when Hop was on every fucking route in the game, sometimes twice or even 3 times in the same route?

Why can't we have a female main rival then? Being able to coom to her would at least somewhat reduce the agony of how obnoxious the Hop character is, at least in the first half of the game.

Lol no, also Dawn/Lucas wouldn't even be the main rivals even if the player fought them since you fight Barry way more often.

May I guess would be the main rival but Hoenn has probably the least significant rivals in the series, even the crowded mess of Kalos had Serena/Calem battle the player a good number of times.

I've gotten the impression a lot got axed from SwSh in development, Marnie and Bede's characters feel wildly incomplete, the story is unusually shit for a Pokemon game and they seem to have missed almost every opportunity to give this game some saving grace, when the best thing about SwSh is the quality of life improvements for minor shit like the Name Rater you know that something went south during development.
