Fuck bros. I’ve been playing Pokemon forever, and I try my best to enjoy every generation to the best of my ability. I just don’t think I can do it anymore. It’s not fun anymore. Post your pokebros and give advice on how you guys make the series more fun. My pokebro is aggron :)

Nuzlocke challenges are always fun. I'm the type of goob that struggles to resist using my favourite over and over, so encouraging myself to use other Pokemon is very refreshing. You'll end up with a few new favourites too!

Also, OP, have you tried the Orre games? They're my favourite in the series. The games are a bit slow, but the world and soundtrack are absolutely worth experiencing.

Set Mode makes a huge difference but if you're not having fun, just play something else. There's other video games, you don't have to be "loyal" in any way.

It's weird, I felt the same way during Sun/Moon and I didn't even want to try Sword/Shield but then a friend bought me Shield and man, I had a blast with it. It's objectively a bad pokémon game but man, it's so much more enjoyable than Sun/Moon

I always enjoy Pokémon for their designs. I try to make my teams most diverse possible. Make teams with very diverse designs makes you enjoy a lot more designs that you didn't realize how neat can be.
And of course, never keep the same 6 during the whole game. It's recommended playing with as many Pokémon as you can. Change your team after every gym at least
