Looker, the Sinnoh remakes, and the missing link in the timeline.
This is the part where I almost shit my pants while putting this together. I was not expecting to write about this.
Going back to the time between Gen 4 and 5, this time fits well with what we know about Looker. We know that he first appeared for us in DPPT and comes from an unknown region, sounding foreign anywhere he goes. He makes cameos in BW and XY, and then we see him at the earliest point in the timeline in ORAS. This is where it gets tricky, we don't know if this Looker is from the non-mega timeline and if he will experience all of these events again in chronological order, or only parts of it. I don't have an official answer but I found something interesting below.
We know the story in SM where he says that 10 years ago, he was in the international police with Nanu and an unknown woman that was a Faller. She was used as bait in a battle against Guzzlord and died, although we don't know how, presumably she was sucked in. This is when they found Anabel from the non-mega timeline. Looking at this now, aside from being one trainer short, this right here gives me strong vibes of a max raid battle, considering we had those introduced the following generation. But the real interesting thing? When I went back 10 years to find what year this was, I found what is likely a coincidence due to my math. But all things considered with what games are coming out, guess what year this would have lied in?
Year 3, the year of DPPT.
That's right. I don't know if GF will choose to expand this, but if they really wanted to tie together the timeline in a perfect way, this is how to do it.
