They made Dragon to be the best type. The "boss type" as some people like to call it, mythical and sacred Pokémon like Lance and various other Dragon-type trainers say.
But then they nerfed it. Now it's just another type. What's even the point of having it anymore? Dragon was robbed of its identity as the best type but with very few Pokémon, and those few being hard to find, catch and raise.
