>why do they still develop games on consolesI believe there's a couple things to consider in this: 1), GF's main claim to fame is Pokémon, since practically every game that isn't related to Pokémon has always seemed to result in failing, with LTH as a recent example, and 2), there aren't really many examples of a successful Pokémon mobile game, with the only one coming to mind being GO, as most of them tend to die at some point, usually within the first year or so

If so, then I can really only say with some certainty that it's probably got to do with them not wanting to change too much, which I could see considering the backlash from things like BW, and trying to get some familiarity in their side games while changing some things. Sorry, don't have a great answer to this one
