Imagine if Fighting games were instead like Street Fighter 1.
It would be more “balanced” but there would be far less skill involved since you don’t have to memorize everything about the different characters and you aren’t forced to adapt to different playstyles.
With Dynamax, any cunning with safely getting a set-up sweeper onto the field is gone since you only need 1 easy switch to start sweeping.
With Dynamax, you don’t need to calculate in your head what Pokemon you need to be healthy and which ones to sack as you can easily counter-sweep with anything.
With Dynamax, you don’t need to memorize Fat Balance, Balance, and Bulky Offensive teams, just know mostly HO and a bit about Stall and Semi-Stall.
With Dynamax, you don’t need to memorize speed tiers since almost everyone runs Ditto and Max Airstream.
With Dynamax, you don’t need to be creative or make compromises with teambuilding, as all you need is a few abusers that are decent outside of Dynamax and let Jesus take the wheel.
This is also why no one takes Metronome battles seriously, despite being balanced.
