Is the armor island your average DLC expansion? What it takes to beat the story, 2 hours or so?

Eh I'm stretching it out. I barely got to kubfu's tower cause I was catching and training other mons. If anything I've been doing raids over finishing the DLC.

About 3-4 hours.
Like 1-2 hours for getting up to Kubfu and its evolution and then 1-2 more hours for the postgame content with Hop

Story takes around that much time yeah, but if you count exploring + the diglett and honey side quests + completing pokedex for mark charm + farming armorite ore and so on, you can easily spend over 20 hours on IoA until there's nothing left to do.
