Yes, I mean companies nowadays sell themselves to whatever will appeal to even the lowest common denominator, in fact TPC is pretty late with the Pokemon MOBA, since they are not as popular as they were 7 years ago.

I dont mind it being a MOBA, it bithers me that it is made by a studio infamous for eaking user info and that it is made to appeal to the soulles chink market

Not surprising at all. What is surprising is that they went with mobile trash AND destroyed the mainline games. I thought they would just keep the mainline with minimal changes just new regions, characters, and pokemon. I expected the mainline to continue separately from everything else albeit significantly smaller. They just Kamikaze the whole shit.

We could have had decent mainline games with legitimate spin-offs that tie into the lore like Rangers but nope. Rather, Ishihara is insistent on chasing after the next Pokemon GO despite GO itself still catching up to what it should have been from the beginning 4 years later. We're still waiting on GO implementation into the main series when it was planned for Sun and Moon from Bank, and then Bank itself is slowly becoming defunct as they figured the dex cut would be a better option to scam consumers into buying a more expensive subscription. Sure, the DLC is baby steps in the right direction but considering that following partners won't even be carried over into the Tundra we're probably back at square one for removing favorite features for the sake of "innovation." We truly are in the worst timeline.
