Even in gen 7, the only one i couldn't tolerate was Primarina in terms of design cuz it just was overtly girly for the sake of pandering to girls. That's not an issue i guess, but like, fucking delphox and serperior both exist, who are also part of the "feminine" starters, but kept it way more ambiguous.
>>44056829Pretty much this, pokemon is based on taking animals and turning them magical in someway, having the idea of a profession first just makes them into anthromorphized characters with extra steps at that point, and you can slap it onto any furry's twitter and it'll look more home there then anywhere else.
