Even if you disagree with these points, which I suspect you will since you're just out to shit on smogon and scream "fanfic meta", there is the undisputable fact that it's still more of an attempt to balance the game than GameFreak or TPC will ever make. They do not balance at all, they only make restrictions based on availability, with no thought whatsoever to the idea that easily obtainable Pokemon might still be overpowered.
