>>44066808I somewhat enjoyed the 3d gens that were gen 6 and gen 7. Even if they were way worse than their predecesors and had no replay value. I personally still had fun. LGPE was the first pokemon game i did not actually enjoy. I planned on not buying it, but it was going to be my little cousins first pokemon game, and he wanted me to trade and battle with him.
>Just wait for gen8!And so i did, gen 8 came, and even though i didn't care about the dex cut, the games were not enjoyable. Gen 6 and 7 were no where as short as Gen 8, and without exp share they were much harder. Gen 8 visuals were literally gen 7 in a better engine. I still don't understand what chariman rose motives even were. For someone who just enjoys playing through an adventure with pokemon on it, this game somehow managed to make the experience shit. I am just amazed that a game with a fanbase that asks for so little, and has the biggest budget in the videogame world, manages to suck so badly. I already did not buy the 15$ DLC that only has around 2-3 hours long worth of gameplay and that mainly consists of a shitty side quest for a legendary pokemon whose design i don't even like.
>What will be the final nail that will make you leave the franchise for good?I do not really think generation 9 will magically fix the franchise, but the little chances of the games being somewhat better in response to the fanbase discontent, keeps my pokemon liking alive. I really hope they manage to deliver something decent in gen 9. If it's just a slightly improved gen 8, i'll let this franchise just be a memory.
