If you switch, the Pokemon you send in risks taking a hit.
If you Teleport, Clefable always takes the hit and the other Pokemon gets sent in safely.
Going last tends to be better on pivot moves.
U-Turn, Volt Switch, and now Flip Turn all go after switching, so if your opponent switches, you can pivot into something good against that switch and maintain momentum.
Teleport is even better because if your opponent uses a Volt-Turn move, you still go last and can still respond to their switch.
