UU, Wild charge turning into volt tackle makes it a usable wallbreaker in there, probably will often be choiced. It will basically be similar to heliolisk, just a stronger but slower physical variant of it with different coverage. Or you could also see it as a weaker, but faster and bulkier, electric darmanitan.

No one would use this on vgc, unless you gave it something like fake out. If you wanted an electric type you'd just use a rotom or any toher shitmon like magnezone, pincurchin, toxtricity, dracozolt, raichu, togedemaru...

that’s why it’s sad, i don’t know. dumbass idea, but that’d be cool if it had coil. it might grasping at straws thematically but it sort of works since electrical coils and the electrical wires on its back play off each other. competitively it gives it the boosting move it desperately needs on its better offfensive stat and bulks it simultaneously. paired with its substitute set it might be able to set up. wouldn’t be broken for sure but it’s an example of changing just one thing to fix it

The reason why I changed it's stats so much is because Electivire needs better Speed to be able to be more of an offensive threat. I gave it more bulk because it's design suggests that it's at least somewhat bulky. While it won't be a tank, it will at least take some hits a little better
I lowered it's Special Attack to such a degree because it doesn't use it anyway + it already has a 540 BST. I kinda had to minmax a little

Coil could work. Electivire would be unique, in being the only non-serpentine mon with access to such a move. With the accuracy boost from Coil, Electivire may be able to utilize moves such as Dynamic Punch, Stone Edge, and a physical version of Zap Cannon better. It's probably a gimmicky as fuck strategy, but it would be kinda unique

The reason why I kept Motor Drive and buffed it is because I feel Motor Drive is very iconic to Electivire, so I didn't wanna take the ability away from it. So I buffed it instead. Admittedly, I could've replaced Vital Spirit with something else, or maybe buffed Vital Spirit itself

A lot of competitively viable Pokemon are minmaxed nowadays, so it's sometimes necessary to buff shitty Pokemon by minmaxing them as much as what's dictated by the current OU/UU landscape. It's unfortunate, but that's simply the way it is

I buffed Motor Drive to be more VGC viable. While it won't be a superstar in VGC, it's at least a little better in Doubles with Motor Drive now functioning as a Speed version of Lighting Rod

I would've given it Fake Out, but I didn't wanna make it a better Raichu

Sad, but true. It's even more unlikely that Game Freak will give a non-Pikachu Pokemon Volt Tackle, which is why I settled on buffing Wild Charge (which is just an Electric-Type Take Down, btw)

If rising its stats makes it different, giving it moves and abilities it didn't have before does as much. I guess that you could have said that electivire's way of working now (underwhelming mixed attacker) could have been helped while maintaing similar stat proportions, and mantaining the way it was used before.

??? It's barely UU, BST doesn't mean shit. Are you autistic? Slaking has 670 BST, Archeops has 567, Arcanine has 555 and Volcarona 550. All of them get 110+ BP moves

All the Pokemon you've mentioned either have a severely hindering ability, or were originally intended to be legendaries
While I'm completely aware BST doesn't matter much in competitive, it does matter in determining whether a Pokemon is a legendary. Electivire isn't a legendary, so it can't have a BST above 545. 575 is higher than the Tapus, for fuck sake

Some dude said it changed too much and i gave it those stats to keep it real with how electivire was actually used in lower tiers and previous generations. I only boosted the stats that were important for it and it still is shit. I personally dont care if some lore fanatic shits it just because its too high for a non legendary. If slaking and archeops are nerfed by its ability, electivire its nerfed by the shitness of its monotype and distribution.

It doesn't if you add gigantic stat changes like OP said. If you give it abilities and moves that it didn't have before you either change the way it's used or just give it a slight power increasing ability that will abrely buff it at all

You can do that without shoving a bunch of stat boosts like an autist. You could’ve just stopped at boosting it’s special attack

Then make changes that still fits how the Pokémon was used. It’s really not that hard
