Look at Beedrill, it's huge insect but realistically you could just kill it with fire.

Bug is only slightly useful for resisting Fighting and Ground type moves. Aside from that, all good Bug types like Scolipede and Volcarona would either see a neutral or positive change for losing their Bug typing.

Fun fact.
Fire is good against bugs because the heat causes the air in their bodies to expand, causing them to burst in their shells.

While not strictly more lethal, it dies either way, it's more dramatic and horrific.

Do not forget the damage this motherfucker can do. Shell Smash with Pin Missle, Icicle Spear, and Rock Blast...9/18 types covered with 125 physical damaging moves. Truly under appreciated.

They are arthropods. This encompasses anything with an exoskeleton (insects, arachnids, crustaceans) This is why Dwebble and Golisopod are bug type though not being insects. Bug type isn’t called insect type and instead uses an ambiguous term, “bug” because it’s more of an arthropod type.

I think the Bug type lost out more. They might have slightly better representation but they got Skitter Smack as a tutor move... Triple Axel by comparison is leagues better.

1) Suffocate since bugs don't have lugs and rely on their large surface area to mass ratio to transport oxygen through the pores of their skin

2) Would not be able to lift itself and would collapse under its own weight due to the square cube law
