Scizor hasn't been good in VGC for several years but even now they keep removing moves.

Why do gamefreak hate scizor so much?

One of the most popular gen 2 mom's, definitely the most popular bug type and is up there with metagross with the steel types

I'd rather see it get some competitive use than not. Not particularly controversial champ.

Gamefreak has no concept of balance.
Every nerf or buff they do is completely random and shouldn't be thought of as thought they had any intent whatsoever.

bug bite always was the better stab but with the raise in usage of the 33% berries I can see people play without
roost was only really good because Scizor defensive typing let it play defensive, but offensive scizor always was the better one

I think they just vaguely hear about things that are problems, and then throw on band-aids.
Hence why they make changes (like adding HDB) which only make sense for singles despite doubles being the official format.
