>electrode amoongussThis resemblance is shallow and meaningless. They both have pokeball designs and thats as far as it goes. They play completely differently and don't even look alike. Gen 1-4 all had mimic items that attack you, and they were always voltorb. There is nothing wrong with taking voltorb out of the regional dex and having a new mimic.
>musharna and hypnoYeah, they are both psychic tapirs. However, they evolve different methods and play differently so they don't feel like they have the same role. Additionally, hypno is such a shitmon in terms of both design and battle ability, that there's no problem with giving the psychic tapir concept a chance to be not utter garbage, which they succeeded at.
>bouffalant taurosyeah
>audinothey have completely different roles in the game, but still yeah the inspiration for it is still pretty obvious, and audino is a shitmon anyway
>persian/liepardShallow similarity. They're both just cats.
>klink/magnemiteSame concept, but taken a different direction. A kind of crummy direction, but still different enough that most people don't come to the conclusion that klink is like magnemite unless someone tells/asks them first.
>garbodor/mukyea
>zubat/woobatThey're both just bats. Different typing and playstyles. Similar name though, which coupled with the fact that zubat was included in gens 1-4 will definitely make anyone who sees it think of zubat. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a different bat for once though.
There should never be pokemon that are in the regional dex every single generation, it just gets old.
Machop, geodude, zubat, voltorb, tentacool, goldeen, abra, gastly, magikarp.... etc. These guys were in every single game beforehand and I was happy to get a break from them, even if I do like them.
