Dark is my favorite type. I like the range of them from Umbreon and Absol being ominous to Tyranitar and Pangoro being ferocious to Weavile and Alolan Persian being tricky among other tropes.

I think Dark should be nerfed by throwing a bone to Bug to make them resist Dark. The justification would be for the same reason Bug and Fighting resist each other, since they're both heroic (kamen rider).

Black and green are some of my favorite colors but I was pleasantly surprised to appreciate Grimmsnarl's shiny more than its regular look. Reminds me of Swamp Battleguard and Lava Battleguard.

I am so glad Gen 8 introduced the first 3 Dark/Fairy Pokemon. One of my long requested type combinations got fulfilled at last, and Grimmsnarl was given a lot of tools to take advantage of that typing both offensively and defensively. I am also glad the resident Pikaclone in this gen is Electric/Dark in both of its forms, and not just in its Hangry Mode. I like seeing Dark-types that, at first glance, shouldn't be Dark-type like Morpeko Fully Belly. It shows you shouldn't judge something based on how it looks.

Y'know it honestly seems to me like Game Freak HEARD the fans saying "a dark/fairy type could be really cool" and "I want fairy types based on more grim myths/lore who aren't just nice and pink" and then they decided to give the fans what they want, straight, and executed it perfectly.

Same kinda/sorta goes for Hatterene. I think it's exactly the case that those 2 lines were designed from the start to be the sort of Fairy Types that fans had been asking to see for a few years. It worked well! They're both quite popular.

I like plenty of Dark types, but I think it works best as a dual type. Most mono-dark type pokemon are just kind of boring compared to their counterparts of other types.

also does anyone else get them impression Weavile was meant to just be a gender difference for Sneasel, but they made it a bit too different/noticed its stats were pretty shitty and decided to make it an evolution instead? Same for Gallade.

Also also does anyone think it's odd that Sneasel and Weavile can't learn Razor Wind despite them and that move having the same cultural inspiration? They should learn it, and it should be an Ice Type move.
