Consider this, how many bought ruby and emerald VS how many bought sapphire and Emerald, now add FRLG, it is way more common to find people that bought R, FR, E, D and PT than any other combination, someone that bought Pearl or AS lies on the rare spectrum and Glameow is a rare encounter in a single route of that game.
