Runerigus is not just the best Pokémon of gen 8. It's also the best regional variant, and a solid candidate for best Pokémon introduced in the last eight years.

It's stats aren't bad, to be honest. But then again, I might just be getting used to the idea that Game Freak is no longer making fast Pokémon. Like, aside from Barraskewda, I don't think this gen or last had a 'mon with speed over 100.

Stats aren't bad. Being slow with a lot of weaknesses hurts it more during your average playthrough methinks, which very much favors glass canon and other hyper offensive mons.
