I feel like he'd be a infinitely worse version of Axel (if that's even possible). A shitty self-proclaimed rival who pops up as the boss of several chapters for no reason. To rub salt in the wound, he'd be the first postgame character to join you, and for all purposes he's better than the main character in every area, so even if you don't use him, he'd be sitting there in your party and you'd know that your party would only improve if you were to train him.

At least Kahili is implied to be indirectly responsible for Guzma's mental breakdown. Guzma was previously a pretty decent golf player, always ending at 2nd place, which realy drowe him insane. Kahili is implied to be best golf player in Alola, and seemingly is at similiar age to Guzma which only adds to the idea of their direct competition against each other.
