>>44098642>>44098688Shedinja is worthless in singles, but I've been using Shedinja in a Doubles OU team and it's not too bad. The basic strategy is this:
>open with Lilligant + Skarmory>Lilligant uses Role Play on Skarmory to copy Sturdy>Skarmory either sets up Stealth Rock, uses Whirlwind if it thinks one of the opponents might use Trick Room, a stat boosting move that could sweep your team or any other problematic Pokemon, or it can use Defog if you predict they'll set up Stealth Rock/Toxic Spikes and Skarmory will move after them>on the second turn, Skarmory switches out to Shedinja and Lilligant uses Entrainment to give Sturdy to Shedinja>by this point, Shedinja will now be immune to all regular attacks since Sturdy prevents it from being OHKO'd and it's always at full health since it only has 1HP>if Shedinja is holding Safety Goggles then it will be immune to Hail/Sandstorm damage>if Lilligant is still alive, use Safeguard, or you can switch in Galarian Weezing with Misty Surge, this will give Shedinja status immunity, Shedinja can use this turn to use Swords Dance and start boosting its attack>Poltergeist hits very hard at +2 attack and avoids contact for Pokemon with Rocky Helmet/Iron Barbs>X-Scissor can cover Dark types and Normal types that can't be hit by your Ghost move>Mimic lets you copy over some moves from other team members, Endeavour is a fun one to use with Shedinja, or you can mimic Safeguard to make Shedinja more independant>alternatively you can use Shadow Sneak instead of Poltergeist/Mimic for priorityOnce you've fully set up, the only things that can kill Shedinja are continuous damage moves like Fire Spin/Whirlpool, Pokemon with Mold Breaker or Skill Swap/Entrainment users.
Also if I fail to set up Sturdy Shedinja, a back up strategy I use is a Basculin with Soak. That reduces the total number of weaknesses from 5 to 2 and if it's late in the match it might just be enough to seal your victory.
