>>44102666I played DP eventually dumbass, as well as other first versions and Platinum is still slow regarding to everything that isn't the surfing speed and some moving platforms, if i didn't already liked the base game i wouldn't consider the third version to be great either, almost everything is still there just a bit rougher around the edges
Same thing with Ruby and Sapphire, if i didn't already loved the Hoenn games just slapping a Battle Frontier in there wouldn't have enrolled me
And third version actually had a point before the 3DS/Switch because it was the only way if they wanted to fix/enhance some shit post-release, now they have no excuse.
There are games like No Man Sky which were released as immense disappointments but then later kind of redeemed themselves by adding massive amounts of updates and overhauls for FREE, that could've been Sword and Shield but it's not going to be because DLC production already started with the games themselves meaning they just kept it as barebones as possible on purpose
