If they no plans on making another LGPE type game why did they make it in the first place?They could use that time on SWSH

GO exploded in popularity, it wasn't just huge, it was enormous. It gave them about 10 times more annual earnings and it still goes huge to this day.
They had to take care of that crowd immidiately and introduce them to the franchise.

They will. To keep GO relevant and to entice GO players into the mainline games. For some GO players it’s just something to do, imagine 50/60 yo players that never grew up with the series but love the game. Or younger audiences that need the extra push to start asking for a console and mainline game and will be hooked for life
