I'm gonna be honest. I hate NuGF and NuPokémon, and I think the decision to cut the natdex was stupid. I don't even own sword and shield and have no plans to currently. But with that being said, releasing the new mons in waves has actually made competitive swsh super interesting. Gives me a reason to keep revisiting the showdown ladder, and makes it a more authentic competitive experience with a constantly shifting meta.

I'm imagining a timeline where they'd just planned on doing this from the start. Wouldn't have caused nearly as big of a shitstorm. Perhaps would've even been welcomed by some people. Fuck home tho.
